Fat Tuesday, Feb 9, 2016 at the Outpost

The legendary LBOC Fat Tuesday Party isn’t far away. Make plans to attend this evening of  fun, great food, libations and fellowship.

Here is a video of past President, Rich Ritter ’90, ’12, bringing the band in, at the start of 2015 LBOC Fat Tuesday Party.  Plans are underway for the 2016 party to be better than the last.  Stay tuned for more information.

What goes on at a meeting?

Come join us at 7:30 a.m. (meeting starts at 8 a.m.) on Wednesdays at the Downtowner (Market Square Shopping Center, 2200 Elmwood Ave D15, Lafayette, IN 47904) for some fellowship, information, and fun. Meetings vary from community organizers, sometimes requesting funding, to youngsters trying out their public speaking skills for the annual Oratorical Competition.  If you have something community and youth focused, contact us.

Lafayette Boys and Girls Club, Ga-Ga Pit Construction

During the month of July, LBOC members lead by Gary Buttry and Joe Kepner, assembled a new Ga-Ga Pit for the Lafayette Boys and Girls Club Beck Lane location.  VonTobles contributed with a discount on lumber. Many ask what is a Ga-Ga pit?  Here is your answer, and it’s enjoyed by children around the world. Link for more information on the Boys and Girls Club.  Pete Branson, David Norman, Steve Bruhn, Larry Loft, and Vince Walter contributed sweat equity for our youth.

Teacher Grant Month

0009Teachers_LBOCDuring the fall of 2014 we awarded a number of grants to
deserving teachers in our community. This month many of the
recipients will be giving presentations at the Wednesday morning
meetings on how they used their grant money.
Click here to see who received those awards.

Join us  for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays at The Downtowner (Market Square Shopping Center, 2200 Elmwood Ave D15, Lafayette, IN 47904) to learn about how our club helps teachers. (Meeting starts at 8 a.m.)
